Uses of Water
Water is used as a universal solvent for dissolving inorganic and organic matter.
It is the main constituent in the human body for a large number of metabolic activities.
Presence of water is effective in controlling climatic conditions. Seasons and climates are influenced by the water cycle.
What is a Solution
A solution is a homogenous mixture of a solute in a solvent. For example, sodium chloride (solute) dissolved in water (solvent) gives a solution of sodium chloride.
